I love New Years! I love the memories of hanging out at Granny Woolf's house, and running out front banging pots and pans and screaming into the wintery night. We carry on the same tradition over here. I love being home all evening, have a special menu planned and lots of treats throughout the evening. We watch movies and around 11 start watching the live festivities. We had Grayson over, which adds to the excitement, and the boys made beds downstairs so they could be cozy all evening.
Like I said, I had a menu planned and was all excited. Jon took the kids on some last minute errands while Zeke and I hung out, and started to get dinner going. Zeke liked it when I put this little army man backpack on his ear and then became obsessed with it having to be on his ear all evening. He's funny. And a mess.
Suddenly I was hit with something and ended up over the toilet bowl for an hour or so and Jon was in charge of the evening. He did real good, though.
Eli didn't last long, which is to be expected.
Somehow the older boys pulled through until the new year! We yelled out front for a while. We're always the only ones. It turned out to be a fun night! HAPPY NEW YEAR! HAPPY 2011!!!
