All about PAISLEY!

I don't know if there ever was a little four year old more excited for her fifth birthday. She'd ask me what was taking so long for it to get here. I kept saying, after Halloween. So the day after Halloween she ran downstairs and was sad it still had not come.
Of course I had to do a countdown for her, she loved taking another five down and seemed to "get it" after that.
I made this the night before~ not sure what happened. Not my finest.
Oh, well. It was still a hit! They all loved how it smelled. Butter cream icing.......
We have this tradition, you see. The birthday gal waits at the top of the stairs until everyone is ready to walk down behind her so she gets to see it all first. Her squeals and excitement sure are a lot of fun!
The boys are just as excited and such good sports.
To make the day complete we headed to Chuck-E Cheeses for dinner and party time. The Whitmore's joined us, which made Paisley's day to have Rachel and Samantha there to play with. Grandparent's Taylor's and Geertsen's also joined us and I could tell Paisley was loving the attention and love~ and gifts!

Paisley really shows her excitement and glee when you do anything for her. She is so much fun to surprise because you get the exact reaction you want. She sure is a sweet little thing. She has such a beautiful face, I love to look at it! She notices anything new I wear and always compliments me when I get myself pulled together for the day. She tells anyone who will listen that now she is FIVE, she is not four anymore! Holding this sweet little hand and those brown eyes looking up at me is just priceless. We sure love our little girl!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
