All about Zeke turning 10!!!

It's a very exciting and happy day when our little Zeke has a birthday!
Zeke woke and waited so patiently for all to wake so he could see his birthday fireplace.
So exciting we can't stand it!!!
After all of his wildest dreams came true, he took pictures of his gifts:

But the best one:

He looked this precious the entire day. Friend party and all! (I'm just giddy we are still in this phase!)
The cake!

His party was mayhem and crazy- and the homemade slime craft was an absolute bust, but the boys didn't mind, and they screamed and ran around and ate pizza and played games and it was all a big success.

And now we have an awesome 10 year old! DOUBLE DIGITS!
The rest of April is exciting as we feel the end of the school year coming to an end, Paisley is ending her Elementary School Days & tennis, Eli is finishing up Middle School at Dixon and on to Provo High School. And Jon and I are busy looking at flooring options and gearing up for some major home renovations!

I've learned that the same flooring has very different looking samples, adding to the complicated process. I've also learned there is very beautiful countertop material that is crazy expensive. And I've also learned that my kitchen does not want to be white.

The overall look: flooring, wood island, light grey-ish uppers, white countertops.

Same flooring, samples from two different stores.

Work at Provo Peaks Elementary is going well- These are really fun ladies, I look forward to seeing them each day. It's been really good for me to get a real-life outfit on at a decent time in the morning and dust off corners of my brain, and interact with so many people daily. I feel quick,  efficient and valued and it has really been great for me!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
