Little A turns big SIXTEEN!!!

Oh, my goodness. How did we get here? My handsome, thoughtful, funny, creative and so much more Adren Aaron Geertsen is now 16!



I tried to plan something a little spectacular for the BIG 16, but Adren didn't seem too jazzed about my suggestions. He finally settled on having a few friends over for pizza and a movie.




Before Paisley and I headed over to the Women's Conference I grabbed some hot pizza's, snacks, drinks and treats. I needed to get over to the chapel a little early, as my presidency would be sitting on the stand for the beginning and then I would join Paisley down on the bench when it started. We rushed over in time and enjoyed the session. When we came home the party group had quadrupled! The house was packed. Adren said he wasn't sure what happened- I just felt bad there wasn't enough pizza! Even Eli's group of friends showed up. Oh, well. Paisley and I left to have a nice, quiet dinner ;)

 Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on.
