Paisley turns THIRTEEN!

Our Paisley girl sure loves her donuts!

Grandma and Grandpa G stopped by to give her their love and well-wishes. So sweet.

Turning thirteen is a big deal! She wanted to have a friend party, so I suggested a Mall Scavenger hunt! We had the gals meet us at the fountains at the Provo Mall so that more could be involved. (The van can only seat so much~ This probably made half not able to make it, but what to do???)
They started with dinner, then instruction and their scavenger list. They chose to all stay in one group and try to beat Zeke and his friends. (Who took up most of the seats in the van ;) ). When they all came back we sang to Paisley real loud, opened gifts and had donut holes and soda for dessert.
This mall was a perfect choice since it was just our group and four other people shopping.

It was great fun! The only problem was waiting almost an hour for one gals mom to come get her so we could go home. Good grief.
Adren was just across the street working so he walked over after his shift and came home with us.

More singing and donuts!
And best friends.
Paisley continues to be the sweetest thing. She is so compassionate towards others, has the softest heart, takes her school work so seriously and is doing so great in 7th grade! She is still, of course bonkers for Sookie (I include this because she includes her in everything.) She adds a sweetness to our family and even if two of her brothers wouldn't say it out loud, WE LOVE YOU, PAISLEY!!!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
