So much Thanks to Give!

I'm feeling especially grateful for all I have. I always start my personal prayers, "I am so grateful for my life." This feels especially true at this season.
I was especially looking forward to the Taylor side Thanksgiving this year. With some back and forth deciding on where to have it, Jon was able to secure our Stake Center building- which surprised me, to be honest! Us sista's divvied up the assignments and that morning I sent Jon and the kids over to set up tables and chairs specific to my instruction. I mapped out where all the age groups would sit and it worked out great!
Just look at our group!

I have a fond memory of LT and I bustling and laughing together in the kitchen, trying to make gravy from our turkeys. I made so much! Like a comical amount.
Soon enough we all had full bellies and play time and spiffed up the gym and kitchen and us Sista's hit Walmart! Of course it was packed but I was able to get quite a few things on my list- for how crowded it was, it surprised me that some specific things on the Black Friday Sale were still there! We all congregated around our heaping carts as we waited in line. Seeing things my sisters were buying gave me ideas I hadn't thought of- but there was plenty of time to go grab another thing or two. Great times!

Some random things to be grateful for:
Have you seen my new kitchen?

Sookie in her happy place.

After picking up Adren from work we passed this adorable Hot Coco truck and stopped to get some. The owner was very chatty and wanted a pic of he and Adren to post on his Istagram. He said handsome customers will help his business ;)

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
