My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best!
Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time!
But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.
My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny!
More windows being installed. Hooray!
I snapped these as I headed out to Kate's shower. Bless Jon and Nathan!Us Aunties threw a beautiful Orchard shower for Kate in Ashley's gorgeous yard. Everything looked so lovely!Of course the food was delicious! And all the nieces darling as can be. I sure love these girls soooo much!
It was so nice to all be together and celebrate Kate! This is such an exciting time for her. We were able to meet Adam's mom and sister. Paisley and I picked up Mommy, I enjoyed having a little one on one time with her to catch up.
Paisley graduated from Provo High Seminary. (While I wasn't sure if this was going to happen, she kept reassuring me it was no problem.)
I sure love her and Esme! What funny, darling girls! The next day I went out to run errands and squealed in delight to see the front soffit is not only getting painted, but those tippy top impossible to reach peaks were getting painted! Eeeeeeeeee!!!
When I cam back that section still hadn't been painted. Turns out the sprayer went wonky and sprayed all over the stucco. Oh dear! The guy had been frantically power washing it off. Maybe only we will ever notice?
Ahhhh, what a difference fresh windows and painted soffit can make! I'm loving it!
And the board and batten and trim on the addition is coming along so nicely!Inside, light fixtures have arrived and are ready to be installed. Jon insists it's all part of Manny's job. I can't wait until the room is "live"!!!
| This bulge in the carpet is from the floor outlet we had set into the concrete. Manny needs to cut the pipe down around it. We need Manny! |
We also still need to figure out these stairs. We found our flooring, and the wood planks are on their way. Now we need to learn what in the heck to do about that.
It was so fun to take another break for Kate and Adam's big day!
It was such a gorgeous day, the temple was so beautiful- and Kate! What a gorgeous bride.
Her sisters and brides maids all wore versions of pink and it all looked so fresh and beautiful.I was so happy for Eliza as Mother of the Bride. She looked so pretty!
After the temple we headed over to the farm where the reception was held to help Eliza set up. It was such a charming place. Everything is so green and blooming in May, and the weather was just great!
Eliza really stole the show with handmade flowers she made for all of the table centerpieces! Truly, they were so gorgeous, she thought of everything. Her car was packed to the max, we kept unloading and unloading more. I cannot believe the careful planning she did for this. Everything was so beautiful! She had also made all of the desserts! Can you even believe this? Everything was so nice! The food tables looked so elegant and charming.
It was fun to set everything up with my sisters. Kate looked so beautiful, her dress was so pretty!
And her cake! Angie made it for her and did such an amazing job. We all just gathered around and stared at it. It is one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen! Just amazing, I had no idea Angie had such talent.Of course, seeing all of the cousins together for these milestones is what it's all about!

Cute boys!
I sure am crazy about my siblings. How did I get so lucky?
Then we took some wacky pics.
We sent the Bride and Groom off with pom-poms, which was so sweet!
I am so happy for Kate and Adam and the whole Whitmore family~ couldn't love them all more~
