Halloween's A Comin'!

Of course, the big family Halloween Party is on the brain. Here is how we announced it this year:
We got the placed decked, inside and out! (of course, this is all me...)

(Of course, this is all Zeke...)

All the family arrived to another rip-roarin' ~ Hot dog feastin' party!

Abby's Halloween treats!
It's the best, I tell ya!
We visited a pumpkin farm and each grabbed a pumpkin to carve. This is the second year we've come to this farm and we like it!
We were the only ones there, and there was a note that business that night was going to be conducted on the honor code. So we ripped off those sucka's!
(JK, I think Jon added a lil' sum-sum because we appreciate and support a hard workin' family business.)

Costumes!
I was the Galaxy. See it?
Paisley wanted to be an angel and I loved going with her to pick out fabric and helping her decide the style of her dress. I thought she turned out sooo angelic!

She wanted billowy, long-hanging sleeves.

She got to wear it several times, so that made it all worth it.
Ward Costume Party! (first one EVER)
Halloween Day is the fun Lakeview Parade. Little P's last! They got to wear costumes to school!

Friends Esme and Megan

Kalaya and Paisley
I just loved Zeke's costume this year. He had a vision and put it all together, makeup and everything. I thought he looked adorable!

Back at home, the big boys started gathering costumes and figuring out their night. Paul and Sharon stopped by for dinner and Trick or Treat-ers started Treating.

Cutest army swat guy ever!
 Off they all go!

Captain Adren

Looks like it was a big success!

Happy Halloween!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
