A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

It's Christmas! Eeeeeeeee!!!
These little Christmas faces were up not too bright and early and ready to see what the Christmas magic looked like down stairs...

Oh, my goodness!

Every nook and cranny was filled with Christmas magic! What a cheery and bright room!
And then, the glee and examining of all the cherished gifts.

Adren in his new clothes and his brand new electric guitar! It sounds great!

Hogwarts is coming along...

It looks amazing! Such fun detail!

Eli in new Christmas attire, looking all fresh and cute.

Paisley in cozy jammies, working on a party house.
I love everyone around with the feelings of Christmas in the air, wearing Christmas jammies and new Christmas clothes and shoes, working on Lego's and munching treats. It's the best!

The following days of the Christmas break are just lovely! Sleeping in, movies, Lego's and nowhere to go! I actually made an entire Thanksgiving dinner on New years Eve. It mostly worked out. The homemade rolls were gobbled up so quickly, I decided to make them again the next day. But I forgot to add the salt. So sad after all that work! (They still got gobbled.) So I made them again the day after that! Perfection!
I finished the Book of Mormon, as Pres. Nelson challenged, and really loved reading through and marking as I read of Christ. My fresh colored pencil was used to the nub by the end!
My testimony was strengthened that when I listen to the prophet and do what he asks, I am blessed. Living in this world at this time, being a mother and wife, I will take all the guidance I can get. I was specifically guided and directed during this time and I know it is because I chose to listen to and act on the Prophet's direction. I marvel at how such small things are asked of me, and yet my blessings are abundant!
The break was full of yummy food and treats and spending relaxed time with each other.

Paisley looking beautiful in her new Christmas dress!
Speaking of New Years Eve, we watched a very fitting movie for the occasion... I texted this picture to my sisters and they knew exactly what we were watching:
Adren and cousins headed up to Heber where Abby hosted these big kids for a couple of days. I love that they seek each other out.
Landrie, Adren and Kate ready to join Greyson.
Here at home, I ran Eli to a party at a friends house, and Paisley had her little friends over for a New Year's toast!

Happy New Year! Happy 2019!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
