Soccer!

I put Adren and Eli back into fall soccer because of the begging. They LOVE soccer. They had to be on separate teams this year. I knew that would be tricky, but what to do? They LOVE soccer. Then Paisley wanted to join a team. She hasn't done soccer yet, so I wondered if she'd like it. But THREE separate teams and practices to keep track of? That's craziness! I thought, "That's ok, I can do it. What else do I have going on?" - a little voice told me to be careful- I may not have time for that. But I ignored it and enrolled all three. Zeke piped up he was dying to play again as well. But that little voice kept bugging me that I was adding too much and really couldn't do four separate teams and practices with only one me running them to most of it. Besides, Zeke did spring soccer and a lot of flopping around and summer-salts during the games. Theres no reason for me to stress myself out for that.

I'll get to where that little voice was leading to~ But for now, it really did turn out to be a fun season to watch and cheer on. And Paisley decided she did love soccer. Even though there was a lot of kart-wheels going on out on the field. And the games and practices and the driving all over Provo to get two kids to these two fields at the same time and this other kid across town one hour later to that field DID end up being tooooo much. Way too much. It was a happy day when it ended.

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
