I saw some cute wreaths online made out of coffee filters. While I loved the fluffy white-ness of the wreaths, I wanted to add some color. apparently, the filters only come in white and a "natural" version. (which is nice, by the way, and would make a cute wreath as well.) My wreath used about a pack and 1/2 of filters and almost 2 cans of spray paint. I painted the filters on a tarp first, then assembled the wreath. I went through almost an entire package of glue sticks as well. It seemed there was always a spot I could nestle another filter in. I'd like to try this in other colors, and blend colors as well. I sure have a thing for wreaths! I just can't justify spending $60+ on them. Guess I'll just make my own. I also saw a giant ball made out of filters hanging above a kitchen table. It was awesome! This wreath is very durable. I pull it inside when a storm blows in, but forgot once and it was dripping wet, but seems to be pretty water-proof. I was going to spray a protective layer on it, but I don't really think it needs it! This cost about $15.
Doesn't that just beckon spring?
