We had a bad babysitting encounter. I hate to say more, because it doesn't feel right. But it was bad. Bad enough that the result was an un-supervised Paisley cut her hair off. The pit in my stomach left after about 3 days, and now I have accepted my daughter no longer has the pretty little curls that she'd have to brush out of her brown eyes. She looks so different to Jon and I. I know it will grow back, just not soon enough. The next day I tried to fix it the best I could, but just could not bring myself to cut it as short as she did in places, so it is very uneven and just strange looking. I could tell people were looking at her a little puzzled on Sunday, like, "Why would your mom give you that haircut?" Especially when it looked so cute before. Ahhhh, Paisley's hair continues to have "issues". When she looked at herself in the mirror she started to cry because she didn't want to be a boy. A boy with an uneven mullet. I realized I don't have real good pictures of her hair right before. I'd just trimmed the straight ends off and it made it extra curly~ enough that I really didn't need to mess with it in the morning, it just looked cute.
And here we are with the chopped mound of curls. I actually found another hand full after this photo. This is also before I "fixed" it.
She's a sweet thing.
