We've got a great ward. These are great people. It took me a while to get to know and feel comfortable in the ward, which is mainly my fault. I think it took having kids- and participating in things- to finally feel like I am a part of a ward family. When I was working I was out of town a lot in the week, then Sunday's were just a quick run to church so Jon and I could nap the day away. I feel like we have such a wide range of people, and I've grown to love the older ones who are grandparents down to the newly-weds just starting families. I really love attending book group and discussing all sorts of things with an assortment of ladies, enrichment activities, and of course, my calling and working with such great women. I've learned so many things about the people in this ward, and it makes me sad when I think about moving on. Jon and I have joined a discussion group that meets every other month. One couple hosts and picks a topic, emails out articles or talks on the subject, then we gather and discuss. It's with a fun and interesting group of couples. There is also a group of gals that I get together with pretty regularly. It's usually when someones husband is out of town, we'll put the kids down and meet up at someones house, we'll all bring a little treat to share and sit around and chat, put on a movie, or pile in the car so I can show everyone the glowing graves in Provo cemetary. I have grown to love these gals and have such a good time. Recently it was one of the gals birthday so we went to "Hale" for her and saw "Hairspray". It was a great play and then went and got a treat after wards. I'm so glad I live among such great and fun people!
