I've been on the hunt for a coffee table for the family room. I'm always looking around here and there. I was happy to spot one on facebook marketplace~ in Provo even, and had Jon come with me to look at it. It will work!
It's really old, and has spent most of it's life in Berlin. There is plenty of nicks, but I love the tiger oak and the shape. I sanded the whole thing down and re-stained it. Aaand it pretty much looks the same! Admittedly, it's pretty rough. But I like it.
I found this cute pot and plant at a local greenhouse. Nice and low maintenance!

I also painted and changed the shades on my fireplace sconces, they fit in much better now.

While it aint no coffee table, Zeke is finding projects to keep him busy...

Adren chillin'...

As I was hosing down the front porch area a creepy bat crawled out of a crevice to higher "land". It stayed there two full days. Zeke left it some strawberries and bananas on the window ledge, and he could have sworn he heard it fly off. I may have heard it say, "Thank Youuuuuuuu...."

Cute boys off to a fun camping trip with Dad!
BYE!!!
Adren stayed behind to work his shift and he, Paisley and I got to entertain entertaining little Solly all weekend. He kept us chuckling with his stories, questions and commentary.
Craft time!
I had Marco'd Ash and told her we were excited and read for him, and Paisley even had a yummy drink she was going to make him and a craft. As soon as Ashley walked out the door, Solly turned to me and said, "I'm ready for my yummy drink and craft."  OK!
I took him on a "night walk" and had him lay on different lawns to test out the softness. "This one's TOOO POKEY!!! This ones JUST WITE!!!" He's a treasure.

LAGOON!

The gangs all here!

Required masks was a first, but we all managed to have a great time anyway. I don't think the Whitmores paper towel stapled to rubber-bands survived Rattlesnake Rapids, however.

Early closures at Lagoon during a pandemic, but the Taylor gang is still the last to leave.

What a gorgeous night!

I took Paisley with me for a gel manicure. Doesn't she just look darling and so grownup?

Sookie enjoying a July morning.
I put out my American Flags again, they look so fresh and festive in front of our summer house!

Zeke in the back-up cam behind Jon's truck!

We headed up to the canyon for a Sunday pic-nick and enjoyed putting our feet in the icy Provo River.

Paisley is headed off to Parkway Fifth Ward Girls Camp! This is the first year in so many I have absolutely zero to do with the planning, and it feels strange! Our ward planned fun day activities like hikes, service projects, crafts and river rafting. It was nice to have her home each night, not overwhelming to prepare for, and she was still able to attend other things.
I think we're on to something here...
Paisley waiting for friends to pick her up to head over to a leaders backyard for Day #1 activities.
Gorgeous summer night caught on the doorbell cam.
Summer 2020 is real weird, but real good as well!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
