Quarantine Lock-Down for your eleventh birthday. Zeke was a little worried about me having trouble finding gifts, even though he really didn't have anything specific he wanted. To be honest, I was a little worried, too! Luckily Amazon came to the rescue.
Birthday morning, waiting for siblings to get up so he can head downstairs!
With no birthday party to plan, we all pitched in to make it the best
quarantine birthday party a kid could have. Adren was real sweet and
volunteered to put together a scavenger hunt. He did great! It was fun
to watch Zeke run all over and be so excited about it. Eli and Paisley
followed him around for fun. I slipped a note and surprise in to the
final-lie.
Silly String! It just isn't a party without it!
Zeke requested J-Dawgs for his dinner, which worked out perfectly. They were offering a family bundle that I could pick up at a make-shift drive through. Then Birthday cake and singing to finish it off!
We sure love our Zekey. He continues to be funny, confident, smart and sweet. School is a breeze as well as Portuguese Immersion. He is perhaps a little too confident, and decided on his own that goofing off on his chrome book was more fun than doing his assignments. When his teacher let me know she had yet to hear from him (SIX weeks in!), he responded all annoyed, "Ok, fiiiiiiine." and caught himself up by the end of the day. He is book smart as well as street smart, thanks to having older siblings I suppose. He can be a little mopey and mutter "I'm bored" throughout the day- which drives me crazy. As of late I feel like if he's not staring at a screen, he doesn't know what to do with himself. We're working on that. He was real sad to not have a friend party and when I pressed him what is it exactly he is missing, it turns out the presents, of course. Hmmm....
Overall he is really the best little Zekey Bears in all the land. We love you, Zeke!
