Wasabi

I still can't believe this... but we got another cat! Meet Wasabi. He is the brother of Little Kitty, who we fostered a while back. He was found in the field with the other kitties. My co-worker, Kassidy took him and has had him this whole time. Well, she just had her second baby, already has a cat, and always feels bad that she has no love or attention to give him. He needs a new home, so she asked if we would want to take him. The kids (mainly Zeke and Paisley) were absolute YES! Jon was also ok with it. I just wasn't sure if I was ready to have another cat. I have to admit, it has been nice not having one...
But he is very sweet. The poor thing was so traumatized for a solid week, though. He would just hide under beds all day, I don't think he ate or drank anything. He'd scamper and hide at any loud sound- even the ice maker, and was pulling his fur out to where we could see bald spots! It was a hard adjustment, but once he stopped spazzing out, he could see that life here is pretty sweet. No longer in a third floor apartment, he loves exploring the yard, eating grass and hiding in the bushes.
He gets all the love and attention he never got before, which he clearly loves.

Kassidy texted that her apartment was full of flies, which made her miss Wasabi. He loves chasing and catching them so much, sometimes the kids will leave a door open just so he has one to play with.

It is fun having an energetic, young kitty. Sookie stopped running around and playing the last few years of her life, so it's fun to see Wasabi run and pounce all over the yard and get all riled up. We have noticed he definitely has his own personality and quirks unique to him. Welcome home, Wasabi!
