May is HERE!

Whooo-heeee, here's the month where everything goes down all at once. I had to buy myself a little notebook calendar just so that I could physically write down all that we had going on and what I needed to do each day to prepare for everything coming up. It helped to get it all out of my head.
First things first, I can't really go forward with all the busy events coming up this month until I help the big boys get their room better under control. I know for a fact they wear exactly 2% of the piles and piles of clothes and shoes that live all over their room. I ambushed them one afternoon and forced us all to tackle the craziness. Most ended up in bags D.I. and garbage-bound. I at least felt better about it.
Tidied & Dusted Craziness:

It is now dark outside. It took the entire day.

Then, Mindy invited us all over to create a Spring Mandala because we are all so very grateful for the warm weather after such a long, wet winter and SPRING IS HERE!!!

We were all tasked to bring organic items to contribute and it was lovely being together, being creative and munching on snacks we all contributed. How lucky I am to have these friends!
Mindy said all the popcorn was eaten by the birds in the morning.

Another warm spring day I went straight from a hair appointment with Dev to a movie with the family. My heart swelled with love as I made my way across the parking lot watching my group walking across the way. My people! Fresh hair!

With the warm weather, things are getting spruced and lightened up around the house. It feels great getting things freshened for spring! The calm before the storm:
Adren and I had a good chuckle at this:

I was in charge of the "Team Activity" for work. This in addition to so many new volunteer trainings, errands for the office and help in constructing and painting these big wood event signs for the upcoming ACHF Golf Tournament. I had to tell Kent that I needed to hold off on anything new until after Eli's graduation, Adren leaving to the MTC, and Stake Girls Camp all coming up before I could blink. I felt so pulled in so many directions and could not take on one. more. thing. SO! For the Team Activity I had everyone post a picture of any time in their lives and share about it. I posted this pic of me and Kim when we dressed up as Milli Vanilli and felt like we really nailed it. It looked like everyone enjoyed sharing silly and significant times in their lives. Monthly Team Activity = Check!

Paisley and I always try to attend the Beehive Bazaar and see what new treats they have. Paisley came upon these vintage dresses- I'm pretty sure I used to have this exact dress (along with everyone else in the 90's). Paisley looked so cute in them and was so happy when I told her I'd help go in on them.
Doesn't she look just like a darling model?
Jon and I have been able to get the yard cleaned up and spruced for spring. I'm loving how everything is really filling in and greening up and each year is less and less maintenance!

But we are both a bit concerned about our Maple...

Paisley is loving May!

I have to remember that even when I feel swamped, Paisley has her own agenda of things that are important to her. I spent an evening giving her another perm, but I forgot she takes two boxes, not one. So it could have turned out curlier. Darn it. Still cute though!
I'm currently sewing her a brides maids dress for Alivia's wedding! It has to be done before girls camp!
I'm loving my gorgeous flower pots, and they are loving this sunshine!
Snapdragons!
My porch pots turned out so pretty~ and will continue to look more and more gorgeous until the last days of summer as they spill over the edge.
Zeke still has this cute chunk of blond in his locks.
Among the Graduation prep I have going on this month, I grabbed the PHS graduation sign to post in the yard. So proud of our Senior! Graduation is so exciting! Such celebration in the air for Eli.
Paisley is in deep with the end of year projects, hoping to get everything done before the deadlines. What a little cutie!

Mother's Day came and I loved on all my babies!

Seriously, being a mom to these guys is the best part of my life. I love each of them like crazy and am so grateful I know them!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
