Little "A" goes to the big Temple

Daddy called to let me know he would love to officiate Adren's endowment. Spots were limited because of the coming up closure at the Mount Timpanogos Temple due to remodeling/ removing the dining room. I hopped on the phone and got us a Saturday evening session. It is on the calendar, it is happening!

Jon and I took Adren to get garments and help him figure out what he'd like. I have to say, this part was so strange for me!

Adren has been attending some Temple prep, but Jon and I told him to just seek the Spirit. He has a lifetime to understand and get it all down. I couldn't believe how fast the day came!

It was so neat for Jon to be his escort. I took my time getting ready and met up with family in the chapel. I have attended so many endowments for my nieces and one nephew, it was surreal to be there for my own boy! It was so neat, and so special to see family arrive, full of love and support.

I will never forget how special it was to have Daddy officiating the session. I imagine that won't sink in for years to come for Adren just how neat that was. Of course, it is always so great to be in the temple with all those I love most!

Afterwards Adren said it was a really neat experience.

This group headed over to Costa Vida for dinner afterwards, we sent Granny home with dinner for Grandpa.

I am so grateful that Adren was able to attend the temple and that it was a neat experience for him!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day. My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on.
