May: It's GRADUATION(S) TIME!!! WHOOOOT!!!

Eli has graduated from Provo High School Seminary!

What a great kid. He said he liked seminary, so there's that.
We held graduation on a Stake level. I ordered 300 donuts from Macy's and about 10 gallons of chocolate milk. It's always a guessing game, isn't it? It was the right amount.

I was glad to catch a few pictures of our guy in-between chatting and filling cups and removing empty donut boxes.
Eli was the only graduate from our ward! Way to represent, Eli!!!

Then the very last day of school arrived. Here is Eli Taylor on his last day of school. I can't believe the day has come. He stood in this spot on his first day of big kindergarten, I blinked, and here we are.
I was so excited for Eli on his big graduation day. It is such a big milestone and I remember that fun feeling and excitement to finally be done with school and how excited everyone is to graduate! He had to be at UVU so early that morning for practice, then his graduation was one of the last ones of the day. It has been fun to celebrate this special time with Eli!
Eli and I had gone out together to get his Senior pictures taken by Josi. It was so fun! She took us all over to some really pretty areas and I thought they all turned out so cute for his announcements. I loved his graduation announcements. There are so many little things I do for graduation, I have to start early in the month so that everything is ready in time. I made him a bunch of candy leis for the kids to put on him afterwards.

I pulled together all of Eli's years of school photos. I love to see the progression each year as he has gotten older and so handsome!

Eli looks so cute in his cap and gown!

His good buddy Caleb came over- all ready to graduate!
Eli's graduation was held at UVU. It was nice to be inside. Granny and Grandpa Taylor and Grandma and Grandpa Geertsen came to support. So nice!
I kept a vigilant look out for my Eli. There he is!

Once I spotted him I kept losing him! I wanted to keep my eye on him the whole time.
Josie and Sammy joined us. Eli had a strong cheering section!

There he goes! Can you spot our Eli?

Ha ha! Whoot- Whoot! Eli's graduating!

Eli!

He did it! Way to go Eli!

We all love you so much!

Look at Eli all decked out! His Senior all-night party was at Classic Skating. In fact he wasn't even around afterwards to celebrate! I ended up taking Paisley, Josie and Zeke out for pizza- without him! He opened his graduation gifts the next day.

I want Eli to know on his graduation day that we love him to pieces and I look forward to seeing what he does in the next few years. This is such a fun time of life and I hope he feels the relief that graduation brings and excitement for the future. I know that whatever he does he will get all the love and support from meeeee!!!

And everything on the list got checked off!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
