Eli turns 18!!!

I just can't believe our Eli Taylor is now 18! WOW!

Eli is always such a cutie!
I can't believe we are here, time has crawled and flown all at once!

Eli is gentle and sweet. He is quiet around most people, which at times makes me feel extra special that I know a side of him not many do. He is so talented at drawing- I often find him sketching in his room, on his bed listening to music. I remember spending a lot of my time in High School doing that. He loves music. Good music. It's been fun to watch him discover a lot of my favorite 90's bands. He has great taste! He has a very specific style that only he understands, so shopping for clothes is a no-go for me. His favorite article of clothing is an old brown beanie of Jons. He's pretty easy going, pretty funny, very smart and it seems he is good at anything he tries. He's great at building things. He's very talkative in the evenings- usually when I'm in bed. He's great at saying "Love Ya!" and oh boy, do I love him!
His birthday fell on a Friday and I barely saw him the whole day. Grandma and Grandpa were able to catch him for a minute or two to wish him Happy Birthday!

We couldn't even celebrate him on his birthday because he was gone all night. He opened his gifts the next day!

He was surprised to open new airpods. He's so sweet!
Big things are happening with Eli. Turning 18, and then High School Graduation just around the corner, I can't help but reflect on all the years with him. He was such an adorable little guy, and I am so proud of the young man he is growing up to be. He is very contemplative, and I have no doubt whatever path he chooses it will be exactly what he wants to do. We all sure love you, Eli!

Then he was off to Prom!
Paisley and friends didn't want to miss out on Prom either, so they got a group together and went. She even got her cousins Rachel and Samantha to join and I thought they all looked so cute as they got ready together in my bathroom.

Everyone had a great night!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
