It's Jon and I's big 19! NINETEEN. I was seventeen when I met him. Dated for seven before we married. Did I ever not know this boy? I'm so glad we have each other. There is something real special about having a family together and going through all those growing pains. But those moments where we catch each-others eye when we're hanging with the kids and it is just surreal that we created this, and it can last for the Eternities is the best!
Here's some funny things I sent to Jon. (Har-har.)
We took a quick trip down to St. George with the kiddo's and had a great time~ for the most part. I do recall being annoyed with the kids maybe 30% of the time, but that's neither here nor there.
The weather was hot and gorgeous. I took Eli and Paisley back to a fun little shop I had visited with the Sista's to get some prints for the kitchen. (You will remember the couch inspiration/ Saga.) It had an adjoining store with a creepy mannequin in the dressing area. They wanted a picture with her, but I found it amusing they would not stand right next to her, and kept nervously looking over at her.
Jon and I celebrated at probably our favorite restaurant of ever~ Lupita's in Hurricane. Deee-lish!
I told the kids to be sure to pack Sunday clothes so we could attend the little ward down there. As we loaded the car, I asked if everyone remembered Sunday clothes. Then on Sunday morning I realized I hadn't packed any Sunday clothes! Duh! What to do? I really had to muster up my nerve to walk into that Sacrament meeting in my jeans. I'm not kidding. We joked after on the way back to the house that perhaps people wondered if I was a woman investigating the church~ and this family.
This is what Nineteen years is all about. Wouldn't change a thing.
Well, that isn't entirely true, but at least I love where we are.
