It's a Wonderful Life (until a spider bites)

I so look forward to Conference Weekend, a real treat! What made this one extra special was meeting up with family at the Aaron's to watch Sophie open her mission call! Little Soph. One of my favorite memories of Sophie is when she was just the tiniest little thing, with wispy hair and big, glossy eyes. I was babysitting her and she was just too adorable and I gave her a tight squeeze. She looked up at me and told me I hugged tooooo tight. I remember her heading straight for me any time we all got together. I know I'm still her favorite ;)
Ukraine, Russian speaking!!!
I loved Romney's reaction. These sisters are the sweetest!

With all of our crazy kids, we skittered outta that pristine backyard and let the kids run amok at a local park while the boys went to the Priesthood session together. Us sisters sat on a park bench and gabbed and gabbed. It's the best!
The gorgeous Utah weather is starting to turn so we took a gorgeous drive up Sundance canyon.
Oh, my gorgeous!!!

We witnessed the first snowflakes of the season as well.
The kids continue to be as adorable as ever:

The roads were crowded from so many people stopped for family pictures. I thought we may as well..
While the kids climbed tree's I gathered little pine cones to fill a vase at home. That's ok, right???
Flag Football season ended. It was a good one!

Paisley misses dearly a friend who used to live across the street, Brooklyn. We try to keep in touch, but it's hard! By that, I mean I reluctantly send a text to her mom when Paisley's pleadings are too much! I'm friends with her mom and I saw a post on fb where Brooklyn was in the hospital from a black widow bite! Yikes! It was pretty severe, and Paisley went to work immediately on a card and insisted we bring it to her. I thought it turned out so sweet!
 Because Paisley is sweet.
Paisley was so teary on the way over and had to take a minute to pull herself together before we knocked. I was glad we stopped by, those girls were giggling and talking and didn't want to leave each other. Her mom is one of those gals who can gab and gab about all kinds of things, so Paisley was glad we stayed so long. I finally had to insist we go. But black widow spiders are
ferocious, people!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
