Can we squeeze in one more summer fling? Yes, we can! Off to Casablanca for the annual end of summer party!

I was so looking forward to hanging out poolside and especially catching up with Dev. We hardly see each other anymore now that our kids are older and off doing their own thing most of the time. Gone are those summer days where we needed to meet up and let our kids play and play to tire them out. Paisley begged to bring friend Abby along~ otherwise she's one of the only girls. This helped her have so much more fun. Those girls were busy at the pool, then busy up in the room. It worked out great. It was a relaxing, lovely get-a-way after a packed full summer! It felt nice knowing there wasn't anything pressing needing to be planned.


We met up with Devron's family one night for bowling. I hadn't seen a lot of them for a while. We took up the whole place!

These boys... They have known each other their entire lives. I remember Adren asking me if Brett was his friend or cousin. Dev and I smile at each other as we sit by them and listen to their conversations. They are getting so big and have grown into the best young men. Adren should have been wearing his Batman T-shirt. Did you know he is Batman?


Now it's time to gear up for a new school year! Much excitement and dread all at once!

 Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on.
