Family~Family~Family!

Paisley loves to film herself, I'm always finding little treasures on my phone. I'm very grateful because I don't take much film of any of the kids, so these are precious.
I'm pretty sure this was taken at Lagoon, while she was waiting at Home Base for things to get set up.

With fall in the air, we wanted to get a closer look at the glorious leaves so close to home. Jon finds great little places for us to go. It's funny because now the kids are getting a little older they moan and groan a little about going, but then always love it once we're there, and never want to leave.

We were able to fit in a BIG family bike ride. There were so many kids with us! It really was so beautiful and a lot of fun! I love that we can create these awesome memories for all these kids, I hope they love these experiences as much as the uncles and aunties do!

Jon's truck!
I loved going to Paisley's Activity Days performance. I had helped out a few times so I had seen the dress rehearsals. Paisley practiced so hard. She had some freedom to choose what she wanted to do for a speaking part. I suggested she sing the Primary song "I Will Follow God's Plan for Me". She practiced and practiced, and couldn't quite get the words down, but sounded so sweet. We finally decided as she sang in the microphone, the girls would gather around her and sing along. It turned out great!

Paisley and Esme during their skit.
The Laurels always like to invite the Priests for class activities, they definitely make it more fun! I helped them plan a fun game night where we played several games. One was balloon volleyball, which they wanted to play and play until we were out of balloons. These kids are a lot of fun!
The kids love having movie/ sleepover nights on the weekends. It's sweet to see them all piled together, so excited for their evening.
Paisley takes pictures after hair creations to show me. She felt like she's really perfected her braiding.
I love these action shots of Zeke as goalie.

Another little welcome home treat for the kids~ and a puzzle to boot!
I grabbed this puzzle from the dollar store, just grabbed a random scene of cartoon characters. The kids informed me it's a bit racy and a little inappropriate.
Paisley's adorable school picture. The others are adorable as well, but they didn't take a picture of their picture. I'll have to post them soon enough because they are my favorite!
Jon and Adren off to their first Priesthood session together with all the big boys. They also went to dinner and a movie after.

Zeke and his "show" he puts on my phone. Hilarious.

And finally, an adorable song by Zeke. He's in Portuguese immersion this year, and I love hearing him talk in this new language he's learning. Here's a song he sang for me:

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
