Fall Faves!

This fall was especially beautiful. I love when the edge is taken off the heat and being outside is once again lovely. Jon and I drove out to the lake one night because the sky!

Sadie was in town to get Raegan settled at BYU and we had to see her place- we even did a little re-arranging in her dorm room for her. The kids were excited to attend the Homecoming parade, a first for us. But apparently not for Christian who came fully prepared with his Halloween bucket. He knows what's coming, this isn't his first rodeo parade.

Aww, the kids still bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for school! Pedro comes over every morning pretty early. Sometimes I can hear the doorbell while I'm still in bed! But it gets Adren up, and Pedro really is so sweet. He usually grabs a plate and joins us for breakfast.
Eli had already bolted. He's trying to earn a dollar from his teacher this year with perfect attendance and will not risk that for anything.
My secretary and her husband part-own Nickel City in Orem and were able get the youth in for practically free for mutual. Have you ever played lazer tag? Not to brag or anything, but I got 2nd place. Probably because Bridger was on the opposite team ;)

What a (big) group!
We went on plenty of fall outings throughout the month. First stop was Gardner Village to find the witches!

Oh, my word what a cutie.

Paisley got her own personal makeover!
Can you see the star on her cheek? That glitter in her hair would last for months and months.
This was cause for me to relax the rest of the evening.
Next stop: Pumpkin Land! Adren bowed out of this one. He really has been coming here for a good ten years. I was so glad we fit this in because I heard the Vineyard place closed shortly after Christmas!

Amazed at the maze.

I know the following pictures are a bit much, but they're for ME. I love all the kids faces in each one.

Good~bye Punkin Land!
Adren with his after school snack...

We made plans to head to St. George for fall break, only to find out Christine and Cameron and girls were already down there. Jon talked to Christine and said we should press on anyway, a great chance to spend some time together. We rarely even saw each other, we all had our own agenda. It turned out to be a great trip!
Those red rocks in the fall are something else! The kids sure love to hike and explore. This is a great spot right near Hurricane.

And when that evening sun sets, it's so pretty!

Paisley got her hair professionally braided by Christine and wanted a picture.

We decided on a movie night and when we arrived at the theater Paisley refused to see Goosebumps with the boys. She and I went to Jem and the Holograms instead. We were the only ones in the theater. In fact, we are the only ones to see that movie. I was texting Jon my pain throughout the movie. The last scene is Jem performing at her concert. (sorry for the spoiler) Paisley and I got up and were dancing along and whooping and hollering it up. The boys movie got out before ours and they came in and joined us.
Zeke having some fun with some Halloween glasses.

He wore them all the time and I thought he looked so cute.
My Laurels planned a night of pumpkin crafting. They're so sweet.
Eli created a cool circuit house and I enjoyed visiting for the grade walk-through.
Fall foot-ball. This is a fun scene to pull up to on a Saturday and see.

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
