Summer!

We've had some really hot days this summer! But it really has not stopped us once. (well, it stops me from weeding)
The kickoff to summer was Memorial Day. We all met at the Provo Cemetery at Grandma Taylor's grave.  I sure miss her. I re-read her obituary and found myself getting so teary! I can still hear her voice, and I know my kids would love her to pieces.

Then we all took a good look at the progress of the Provo Tabernacle/ Temple. It is a truly amazing sight to behold. Here there are people all over the world hearing of the temple in Provo under construction, standing on stilts~ an amazing sight to see, and I drive past it on a daily basis!

 The Pinewood Derby!

Late summer nights and story time with dad!
We just had to celebrate Eliza's big 40th Birthday. A trip down to St. George with the sisters was perfect! Lot's of shopping, dining, sleeping in, a movie.... but best of all, being with my most favorite people. Love these gals!

Abby inspired me to create a fairy land in the garden. With the kids help, it really turned out sweet:

Lot's and lots of awesome play time...
Adren could not stop thinking of this little guy when discovered at the store. He is super into pigs right now. He brought me the camera to show me how adorable it was.

Cousin sleepovers! These gals were darling and fun!
We even got Harrison for a night!
Playdough! Always playdough.
Lego's. Always Lego's.
Some of the funnest and most memorable things we did~ I did not take one picture. So all the wonderful memories in my head will have to suffice, and I know the kids will never forget the special times.
The most anticipated event this summer was camping! A Taylor Reunion, if you will. The Boc's found a perfect spot in Heber. And by perfect I mean beautiful and full of amenities to make camping as comfortable as possible. It was so special to have everyone together. Each family contributes so much to the entire family! Some memorable moments are:
Playing Volley Ball with all the siblings and laughing so hard at my clumsiness. (it's been a while, ok?)
Watching Daddy and the boys play Corn Hole on Cades homemade game.
Poo-Poo-ing the nice Ranger Man when he says that animals are crowded around secretly watching us, waiting for us to leave- Then hearing Ashley recount being left behind, trying to nap in a chair and the Pavillion being attacked by squirrels.
Being caught in a huge downpour of rain and hail while caravan-ing to see a real crater.
The Sista's gathering together in the late afternoon/evening helping to get dinner ready.
Hiking with all the kids in the heat to see an incredible spilling of boulders from a Glacier and being able to overlook the entire valley. Whoa!
Taking the kids to Huber Grove and while resting in the shade spotting all the men golfing! What are the odds???
Watching the kids beg and pile on the Golf Carts, wanting a crazy ride and watching Ane tumble out laughing onto the grass during a sharp turn!
Waking up to kids doing fun crafts each day thanks to LT's craft skilllzzzz.
Watching mommy sitting with almost all of the enamored grand kids surrounding her in the shade while reading book after book. Precious!
Sitting around under the Pavilion with all my siblings and hubbies, relaxing and chatting.
Checking out the Goulding's mack-daddy tent. It's legit.
Laughing and telling stories with Katrina, Romney, Malerie, Reagan, Ava and Sophie. They're so fun to chat with!
Watching all the kids run around, random pairings while they play and explore.
IT WAS JUST AN INDIAN!
Hearing giggling and whispering in the kids different tents while falling asleep.
Watching the entire Goulding family plus camping gear drive away!
Another confirmation that nothing is better than family!!!

Pioneer Day
Lindsey T. had the great idea to do another bike ride down the canyon with kids for this holiday. The Bocanegra's and Lloyd's wanted in! It was perfect! Poor little Paisley took a spill shortly after taking off, but other than that, everyone did great! It's such a gorgeous canyon, and that Provo River Trail took us right to our house. Cade and Ashley and fam, and Mommy and Daddy were waiting for us to arrive. We BBQ'd, the kids went bonkers, and then we settled out front and played a huge tournament of Corn Hole. We keep getting creamed by Cade and Ashley, but then keep asking for more. Lot's of fireworks all around us, as we lit a few of our own. It was a perfect Holiday!

Trip to Elko!
The kids ask every now and then if they will ever be able to go to Elko to see where the Goulding's live. Abby was planning a trip out, and I thought it the perfect opportunity to tag along. Between us three sista's there's 17 kids! Sadie was so welcoming, had her house spotless and ready for our group. She set up a tent in the backyard for the boys, and the rest of the kids found a spot on the family room floor at night.
We went to a very well done exhibit on the Pioneers. It was an exceptionally hot day, so the suffering seemed to hit home a little harder.

It  seriously was so much fun and just what we needed at the end of summer break!

Lagoon!

Zeke absolutely insisted on the face painting, would not budge from his spot until it was done. This, over everything else,  made his day!

I think I need to look at this picture on a daily basis. It's the cutest, most precious thing ever. The four-pack!

We spent a lot of our summer meeting up with the Lloyd's. We love an opportunity to get together and we made lots of fun memories this summer. Our favorites and most frequent were picnics up at Vivienne Park, matinee's and the pool. Dev and I took the kids on Front Runner up to SLC to the new City Creek.

I usually snag one of Paisley's friends to come along when it's us and the Lloyd's. Look at her, sweet thing.
Cheers to a successful summer of 2013!
