These chairs in my front room are becoming eyesores. They are stained and I cannot get them clean. Sookie loves these chairs, and it shows. I know, I was asking for it with the light fabric- but I figured I'd be ok because this room is not heavily used. But alas, they still show wear.
It has taken a while and several orders of fabrics that weren't quite right to decide on something. I knew I just had to spot the right fabric and have some patience. I found it! When it arrived it was even better than I thought. I imagined it was a printed fabric, but it was woven. It is just what I wanted. Love that! I've learned a few tricks and tips with recovering by now. Mainly- pull that fabric as tight as you can, and staple-staple-staple! Anyone can do it!
I also realized that patterned fabric is quite a bit trickier than solid, and doing a pair of chairs that will sit right next to each other means the fabric needs to mirror each other- so I ended up doing two more orders as I kept running out of fabric trying to match them up perfectly. But I got there, and I am thrilled with them.
On to the outside, I know we're still in September, but Trader Joe's had these great Cinderella pumpkins I just couldn't pass up. I stacked them in my urns and there they would stay until the first week of December! I loved how they looked with my door color.
Then I kept adding pumpkins from our garden all month. I vote Jonny continues to plant pumpkins each spring because pumpkin $$$ really adds up, and I love packing the porch with them.
And Eli was asked to the Fall Dance! Yay!
Happy for cooler weather!
