I was heading out while the boys were heading out in the new family car. I felt happy for them, and their new freedom and they looked so cute. Adren and Eli.
I just love them so!
Provo High Prom was May 1st. When my friend Diana told me her daughter Sammy had found a pretty Prom dress, I asked Adren if he'd asked her yet. "Not yet. But I will." I told him he should get a plan in place with his friends or the night will quickly get away from him like Homecoming did, and he will have no say and spend a lot of money. He hurried and asked her with a bunch of balloons, one having the question inside. She answered back with a porch full of his treats. Ok, this is happening!
Paisley and I were heading out on errands and swung by Sammy's house to see if we could catch a glimpse, but we had missed them. I knew I'd see everyone at the Promenade that night, and also told Adren to swing by after the dance to grab warm cookies and popcorn to take over to the Hodge's for the outdoor movie. They were first headed to a fancy dinner. Jon and I ran over to Promenade, it was fun to stand with Diana and James while our babies strolled out as we cheered.
I love Adren's smile in this one!
Apparently the wind picked up and it sprinkled so they cancelled the dance shortly after it got started. There was a big group that was in a "Party Bus". Jon and I had noticed the school bus all decorated in the parking lot. The kids drove it over to the back road behind the High School, cranked the tunes and had their own dance. Sounds like it was a fun night for all!
I had to chuckle at Sookie who was interested enough in what was going on to be in the way, but was also not interested at all.
Kelly is still in Germany, and was worried about missing her daughter, Lindy's birthday. Each of us from the CRU popped in throughout the day with a treat and a hug in her momma's place. Lindy (one of my girls) happened to be facetiming Kelly and Esme when I arrived, which was a special treat!
Just cute Paisley, doing her thing. She couldn't be more thrilled to be finishing up at Dixon Middle School this year!
After visiting Mommy and Daddy, they drove us by the new temple grounds. Right in their backyard! So exciting to watch this evolve!
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! I couldn't love these people more, I am so grateful to be their mom!
Sookie just relaxing in her house.
And Sookie plants herself in the middle of any project.
Look at these cute kids coming home together in the car. So cute!
Look at me, just capturing any moment I want to remember! Jon and I followed Adren to get a new tire after he got a flat (and changed it by himself!) Watching the kids get their stuff out of the trunk just made me marvel for a moment how much they're all growing up. My goodness!
My friend Diana sent a beautiful peony from her yard. So big and gorgeous!
Paisley is starting to hussle her "Paisley's Summer School!" She is holding it on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11-12:30, but will then move it to 10:00- 11:30 because of the 90+ degrees in the backyard. She is charging $6 per kid per class. She will make millions of copies of different themes each week that include wand making, origami, flower crowns, water fun, playdough etc. She will set her alarm for 9am to get ready, set up the canopy, roll out the heavy coffee table and lay down a blanket in the backyard. She will have the sprinklers going and ice water to cool the kids down. All for about 1-3 kids per class, some not showing at all. Dear, dear. Not worth it. But it was a great idea and I am glad she tried!
My dear friend, Diana popped over to share even more of her gorgeous peonies and for a chat. I am so grateful for our friendship! We sure love our kids fiercely and always hope they can feel our love for them. Counting her as a friend sure makes my life sweet.I'm loving clipping my yard foliage for a fresh kitchen island.
I crack the door each morning and Sookie enjoys sauntering out to take a look.
All our babies driving together! We are on our way to the Memorial Pick nick with the family and it was strange to be alone with Jon in the car.
Sure love this bunch like CRAZY!!!
I just love them so!
Adren felt the planning was falling on him, so I gave lots of suggestions. They went to Provo Beach Resort in the RiverWoods to spend a couple of hours, but upon arrival learned it was closed due to a power outage. No worries, they scrambled up to Nickle City and had a fun time. When Adren came back home to shower and get ready, his two friends popped over to get ready as well. I felt like I should help in some way, or have been better prepared at least! But they didn't care- and they only had to put on suits, too much cologne and then wanted to shoot airsoft guns until they noticed the time and darted back out the door. I gave them some tips on dinner etiquette and some gum. I thought they looked cute!
Ale, Nick and Adren. They would meet up with the others later, who were on student council and needed at the school.Paisley and I were heading out on errands and swung by Sammy's house to see if we could catch a glimpse, but we had missed them. I was happy to grab a quick photo of the group (minus two couples) before everyone changed and headed back out for the movie!
I had to chuckle at Sookie who was interested enough in what was going on to be in the way, but was also not interested at all.
And then I chuckle at Paisley who about broke her neck while trying to get something from under my bed! It's too high, darling.
The DAD!
Sookie just relaxing in her house.
I was trying to take some pictures of Paisley so that she could introduce herself and advertise her summer class she is preparing for this summer to earn a little money. She was too silly so they didn't really work out.

Well, here we are. The last day of a lot of things!
Last day of Middle School at Dixon for Paisley!
Last Day of Elementary School for Zeke at Lakeview! No more Elementary School for the Geertsen's! My friend Diana sent a beautiful peony from her yard. So big and gorgeous!

She would also post signs on the front door and gate so the parents would know where to drop the kids. Bless her.
EYE See YOU! Can you tell who's EYE is WHO???

May wraps up a lot of things. What proves constant for me in my life is what matters the very most. Love, family, the Atonement and progression are just a few.
