Paisley and I thoroughly enjoyed the Parade of Homes. We hit almost every one in Utah County. We marveled at every detail. We talked it up so much at home, Zeke had said he did not want to attend, but now would like to see some pictures.
A river runs through it.
Paisley and I started saying, "Bunk Room: Check. Double kitchen islands: Check. Home Theater: Check. White Hardy Board siding: Check."
It was the tradition to run through Zaxby's at the end and then go see a movie. Cruella and In The Heights were way fun!
Summer Dinner! We classy...
Kelly will be home in days. I told my CRU we must do a proper welcome home! She has had a rough time over there in Germany. We all gathered and made a big Welcome Home Miller's banner for the garage, a Welcome Home Sis Miller for Sadie, her daughter they picked up at the end of her Mission, and a Happy Birthday Sadie who's birthday was also that day! Then we all sent in silly pictures of ourselves to Mary who put them up all over the house. This one made it to the bedside table:
More summer mornings with Sookie.
My dear friend Kimberlee, who was my secretary and now Ward Camp Director asked me if I would do the food for the ward Girls Camp this summer. Of course, spending a day with her and the girls (Paisley!) sounded delightful. Also- just being in charge of food and nothing else sounds easy peasy. I only had to do 5 meals and snacks and I was cross-eyed trying to figure serving sizes and amounts. Shopping was sweaty, I had Jon come help me for some of it. What a big job! This picture here is only shop #1 of about 10! I did all the prep beforehand so it went very smoothly up at camp. I didn't want to bother with setting up a kitchen, or propane or any kind of cooking at the camp site. The two breakfasts were continental with bagels and cream cheese, fresh cut fruit, yogurt, granola, mini cinnamon rolls and muffins. The lunches were make-your-own sandwiches with all the fixins, chips and more fruit. Snacks were string cheese, fruit and granola bars. Dinner was a super delicious (if I do say so myself) chicken Caesar salad, fresh rolls from Provo Bakery and donuts for dessert. It was a hit, everyone really gobbled that salad! There was plenty of everything, much to my relief. And it was fun! What I enjoyed the most was just hanging out behind the scenes, doing what I wanted. I'm glad I was there.
They are reading each other letters they wrote to each other for five months. (Yawn.) A tea party is waaaaaaay better.
Zekey is still losing teeth!
And finally, to end out June~ a goodbye family dinner for Alivia before she heads out to Paraguay! This is what it's all about!

Then we all gathered for afternoon tea at TASTE. Have you been? You must, it is to die for!

Big Momma enjoying summer. (But really checking that my new foundation matches ok! It does, doesn't it?)
Cute Eli enjoying his summer. I've got to catch these moments.Funny guy.
I was cleaning out a kitchen drawer and came upon Zeke's school box. I thought it looked like such a typical kids box, with erasers bought from book fares, and knowing this is the last of pencil boxes, I had to take a picture.
