What we've been up to...

Here's some little things here and there we have been up to...
I got to spend the day with Zekey up in SLC. After an early appointment we had some time to kill before his preschool field trip at The Children's Museum. He loved watching the fish in City Creek and we had a fun lunch together. This kid's all right.

Of course, he talked me into getting him some treasures from Trolly Square.
I had a super lovely evening out with my good friends. We got a scalp treatment that was heavenly. Anytime I don't have to blow-dry my own hair is a good time!
Adren and pal Bridger have started a pretty serious Snow Cone business. They made $20 one day! They ride their bikes to Macey's to refill their flavors and carefully track the best-sellers.
We went to a really delicious deluxe chocolate, olive oil and vinegar tasting in Provo with some good friends. The experience was amazing, a real eye opener!
The chocolate guy is on the end. I have yet to meet anyone with such passion. Looks like the Miller's are starting to get between us.
We've been going bonkers in our yard. We found ourselves in a bit of a morning-glory-overrun-with-weeds situation. So we've been tearing everything out and putting black plastic down in every square inch we can. We are hoping this ends up being a more low-maintenance set up. But it's been fun for Jon and I to work together, we do well on big projects together. We even snuck away one Saturday by ourselves and shopped for plants, had lunch- then came back and put it all in. It was heavenly!~ I look forward to working on it with him, and then sit back and admire how it's coming together.

We got a personal tour of the Conference center, thanks to Mommy and Daddy's two year mission as hosts. They serve Thursday's and Sunday's and have really been enjoying it and have had some neat experiences. It was a real treat, walking through and learning things I didn't realize. The kids loved it and want to go again!
I sure love spending time with Mommy and Daddy!
Life is sweet!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
