Happy Birthday to Eli!

Our Eli guy is 9! What a cutie! He was all about a BMX bike this year. He requested a friend party at Nickle City. When I compare that with the labor intense archery party from last year, I was on board!.

The Bike!

He had a spectacular LEGO cake!

At the end of the night Adren said, "OH, I get it, it's a NINE". So I'm putting that out there in case you didn't catch that...
And more fun and friends and love than he knew what to do with.

A guy in our ward is a manager at Nickel City and was so nice and generous and really made Eli's party great. Granny and Grandpa Taylor were even able to come over and give Eli a Birthday hug.
We sure love this guy in our family. When you catch Eli in a chatty mood, it's the best. He'll tell you all sorts of neat things going on in his life. Eli is doing great in 3rd grade. Learning has come easy peasy to him so far. He gets his homework done so quick because he never wants anything to cut into his precious play time. This boy can play. He'll be gone for hours and run in the house to gulp a drink of water, covered head to toe in dirt and is off again! He has oodles of friends, his bestie is Enoch across the street . Eli can build and build with Lego's or any other little set he gets his hands on. He's patient and good at figuring things like that out. Eli is so great to have in our family. I can hear him cracking up about whatever somewhere in the house, his laugh is the best. He's also crazy about his big brother Adren, and I know Adren feels the same. Those two....
Sweet shot of the Birthday Boy waiting to see his presents in the morning.

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
