Back into the swing of things


 I took the kids to lunch after picking up from school. Their restaurant manners continue to improve. (notice Zeke was not invited, however) I enjoy chatting and getting caught up on the daily activities.
 Zeke got to have a jammy day at Preschool. Adorbs as can be.
 He requested a Superman curl.

I made some faux Roman Shades for the breakfast nook. I likey.
 I hosted January's Book Group. Partly to get some motivation to get my house back in order! We read "Wonder" by RJ Palacio. It is an excellent book, and I continue to read it to my kids. I like to coordinate the food to the book when I can, and since the book is about kids, I chose a kid menu: Mac N Cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, chocolate milk and candy!

 Adren was motivated to make a Lego movie for Cade's 30th birthday party. It didn't all the way come together, but he gets an A for effort!


 
 
Sookie continues to make herself at home. We often find her sprawled like this in the middle of the floor when we are all hangin'. This winter she has become real fat and happy.
 As soon as I pulled up to Target with little Zeke in tow, he exclaimed, "I love this place! Take a picture!" 
Speaking of Cade's 30th Birthday party, it was loads of fun to have a theater to ourselves to watch home movies made for Cade! What a guy!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

 Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on.
