Jonny looks so handsome in his new suit. Fresh from the tailors.

Paisley has wanted a perm. While I myself have received many perms, I have never given a perm. Paisley's long locks made me nervous, and I wasn't sure if I could pull it off. After calling around to a few salons to price out her length of hair (Cha-Ching$$$!!! in case you wanted to know.) I decided that my mom gave me perms, I can certainly give my daughter a perm! We went to Taylor Maid to get supplies and avoid as many questions from the worker as we could. We don't need any naysayers- I'm sweaty enough!

It really is just a matter of rolling with patience. We put on a movie and I took my time rolling tiny sections of her long hair.

Then that smelly solution and waiting.

To so much relief, I did not burn her scalp, make her hair fall out, and she LOVES.
My spring-is-in-the-air front room.

Paisley's perm really is a game-changer! So cute!

A friend in my ward was presenting for the Stake Daytimers meeting and asked me to submit artwork that I feel celebrates motherhood. This book immediately came to mind. Abby gave me a copy and I have bought it twice now, as that first copy joined kids in the bath once. The Seven Silly Eaters is a great story, and you will have to read it on your own to take in all the detailed artwork.

The funny thing is, I follow a gal on instagram, I think because of  Abby and Ashley. The gal just had her 7th baby, and posted a picture of her husband reading this book to her kids. Then Abby texted that it was her that sent it to her as a gift!

May holidays and school dances and open nurseries bring May flowers.

Happy Mothers Day to me, my sweet mommy, my wonderful mother in law, my sisters and friends who I rely on to help influence me along the way, help me feel not so alone, give good advice, and support me in the ups and downs.
