Summer is HERE and the front door wanted to get out of her black blazer and wear her summer blouse. I love the front yard in early summer!First stop is Memorial Day. I had to show Zeke this chunk of curls that grows so blond!
Afterwards we all came back to the Geerty's for some lunch. Always fun to all be together!
He said it was a really great week and he's glad he went!
Jon called me from his friends phone, panicked that he lost his phone while hiking. Technology is bonkers. I pulled up his location and was able to text him the photo where he'd dropped it. All of a sudden, his phone started moving. I called it with Jon on the line, a nice couple had spotted it and were bringing it to the parking lot. His friend Nathan was then able to flash his car lights so they knew where to leave it, Nathan then remotely unlocked his doors so they could leave it on the seat, then lock the doors back up. I know I sound like a boomer, but rotary phones were still a thing when I was young. We've just come such a long way in such a short amount of time, and mine is the last generation that will appreciate that.
Paisley is a working girl! Thanks to the Whit's, Paisley heard about hiring at Jamestown, a retirement home. She was nervous for her interview but did great, obviously. Her uniform is soooo cute! And she gets to work with Kate, Ane, Rachel and Samantha! And several other friends from school. It's especially great that she is now earning money for her Shein and Amazon purchases. I can invite her on outings now and not come home broke!
And she continues to make cute little bracelets and weave darling beads into her permed hair.
My friend Diana brought me her annual bouquet of gorgeous Peonies! These opened to the size of a platter!
I woke early one morning and before going downstairs, I peeked into the kids rooms like I always do. Paisley was not in her bed! I was remembering the night before she was down the street at a friends house- did she come home? I am getting less vigilant with that. I was in panic mode and looked up her location- which showed she was at home. Or at least her phone was. But then I realized since she doesn't have phone service, it was just showing her last location. I snapped a quick photo before it said "no location". I saw on the doorbell cam she did indeed come home the night before. But where was she??? I panic-called Jon. He said she was getting ready to go babysitting when he left for work. This eased my nerves enough- but it was a relief when she walked in the door the next hour! She said she accepted the job when I was already in bed. These kids!

I took Eli to the very first week of FSY. He was super excited, mainly because he would be rooming with his buddy (that lives behind us). I knew he'd have a great week!
Imagine the glee when we arrived at his dorm to see his two other buddies were in his same room! It was at this moment I realized we didn't bring an extra pillow or blanket. Eli texted the next day to meet him out front because nights were chilly and a bit uncomfortable. It was fun to see him for a quick second. He said it was a really great week and he's glad he went!
I met up with Sadie, Ash and gals for some shopping. I told Vi to lay down so I can gauge the size of the bed. I couldn't believe it's a twin! Ash was able to grab two fab chairs and Paisley is set with swimsuits for life, so I'd say it was a success!
And she continues to make cute little bracelets and weave darling beads into her permed hair.
Sookie got a fresh summer haircut and we're loving her look!
I've got Stake Girls Camp running 24/7 over here! It is coming right up and we are ready for it!
Paisley and I are loving kicking off the summer with the Parade of Homes.
We just die at all of it!

Speaking of Boomers and old-school technologie. Adren's ministering partner is an older, kind gentlemen in the ward. He types, prints and mails Adren and their families updates and messages. I love it. Adren loves it. I hope the families love it.
