Eli was asked to Sweethearts by Chloe. I had to practically beg him to let me take him shopping to freshen up his Sunday outfit. We went to the mall and found this really great black corduroy jacket that he prefered over a suit jacket. We also found a pale pink tie which ended up being the exact shade- even the same linen fabric as Chloe's dress. Perfect!
The group was running late when they picked him up, so I ran out to grab a group shot. Everyone looked so pretty!
And Eli looked so very sweet and so very handsome.
I grabbed this pic as they were off for the day date earlier. I always chuckle to myself when my boys literally jump out of bed when their date arrives early in the morning, throw on some clothes and go. No primping whatsoever. I cannot relate.
Adren was also asked to Sweethearts by Sammy, and I have no pictures of the date. Their situation continues to be tough, which makes me quite sad, but I also know things won't be like this forever. Adren felt like he had enough stuff to wear- all black. He got all spiffy for the dance, and I thought he looked so handsome. His date didn't come to the door to pick him up, and I never saw pictures but he said he had a really fun time, and I believe him.

| I sure love these two big boys more than they will ever know! |
Speaking of cute and actually liking primping, check out Paisley's Valentines makeup for the family dinner up at Cash's. She sure loves experimenting, and I love to see what she comes up with. She's so cuuuuute!
We picked up Granny to bring with us, as Daddy was working his Temple shift. It was fun to get caught up with her.
We all love Granny so!

Here's a glimpse of the Sweethearts dance pictures of Eli and Chloe!
I've enjoyed going to dinner each month with Dawn, Dev and Kim. It's been great to catch up on eachothers lives and remember some great times!

I sure love these ladies! I am grateful for friends that go waaaay back.

I texted this funny text out to them after I got home. We had been chatting about the ups and downs of motherhood and how while our kids grow older, it certainly doesn't get easier.
It sure has been fun for Adren to be on Jr Jazz this season with his pals. He likes that it is less pressured competition. They didn't practice much, but only lost about three or four games the whole season. They ended up in second place. Fun boys!
Happy Valentines Day! I got up early and set up a festive spread for the kiddos to grab on their way out the door. I sat in the front room sipping my morning drink while I heard each one come down and say, "Oh, yeah- it's Valentines Day!"
May they feel aaaaallllllll my love.
Zeke had a very successful holiday. He unloaded treat after treat after stuffed animal from his secret admirers. Hmmmmm....
It continues to be so odd to have large packages arrive at the door... that I didn't order. This is a beautiful guitar Adren has had his eye on.
I take pictures of rooms so that when I'm out and about picking up an item or two to spruce and refresh I can reference the photo to see if it will all jive. I am just really liking how this room is coming together.
Oh. My. Word. The time has come, Paisley is getting her ears pierced! Eeeeeee!!!
It's funny because I have pierced
thousands of ears. Many of those were either newborn babies or very young little girls that were so scared and cried and cried. I knew if I ever had a girl, I would wait until she was old enough to bring it up and decide she wanted to do it. Well, Paisley has wanted her ears pierced since she was pretty young, but could never go through with it. I would promise her we'd keep trying until she was ready. Paisley wished I had just done it when she was too young to remember! But this way, she was
so ready and
so excited.
Finally! Is she the most darling girl, or
what? I wanted to make sure the gal marked them in the right spot (there is only one right spot, you know...) and Paisley squeezed my hand, and
did it!It's been fun to watch her adjust and be so thorough with glasses, then contacts, then braces, so I have no doubt she will have the best cared for ears ever.
I don't hate this weather. We need this snow so badly, and it is so pretty to watch flurry around outside from a cozy room.
Happy Birthday to Dad! Jon took himself on a birthday weekend with friend Nathan to do some hiking. I told the kids to decorate with some streamers to make it festive for when he arrived home and I thought what Adren and Eli came up with was just perfect.
I especially liked that the pot that was used to boil eggs was not forgotten.
Zeke asks on a regular basis when he can get his teeth straightening process started. He wants to be completely done by the time he enters High School. He really wanted Invisalign (like Eli) over braces. He is a candidate, and promises to be right on top of it~ so Invisalign it is!
Don't let this photo fool you~ he's downright giddy to have his name finally on the surfboard.
Here we go!
Ha-ha. This middle-school twelve-year-old kid. Love everything about him.
