Life in January

We had the privilege of attending some special cousin baptism and confirmations in January. These kids!

Charlie looked so handsome and precious in his little suit! His Primary President told him to look out at all his family that was there that day and remember that moment. His face was so sweet, I think I'LL remember that moment.
The twins! Rachel and Samantha looked so beautiful and sweet! Paisley was really counting down to their big day, and wore their gifted heels for the occasion.
Graham is the last of this 5-pack in March to turn eight. Sweet little souls!

These boys are getting so big. It's both exciting and fun, and yet leaves a tiny pit in my stomach. I'm sure you understand. I'm loving their ages right now. We can have- for the most part- fun and interesting conversations and learn new things together. Non Poki~mon things. Well, not counting Zeke.
I could stare at these morphing faces all day.

Zeke is loving making himself eggs every morning. Now I need to teach him how to scrub that pan...
That little body!
Crazy hair day at school was a first for us. Not sure if the kids have just never wanted to participate before, or if it's new to their school. Either way, they had fun with it.
Paisley had her ideas on how she wanted her hair. It turned out crazy!

Paisley wanted to try on me the cup in a pony tail she'd seen at school. When she plays with my hair while I work, it's my favorite.

Fun little pictures to find on my phone....
Our pretty great youth at a fun Missionary prep night. They received calls, had companion transfers, a zone conference, mini stations to learn knocking on door etiquette, food tastings, scripture mastery and more.  Really~ they are pretty great!

Zeke at a fantastically decorated and organized Blue and Gold banquet. It was all right!

Sweet little dresses made for a friends fresh bebe girl.
I love getting the house glowy and fresh for the book lovin' ladies in the neighborhood. We read An American Heiress. It was~ eh.
But the treats and company delish! That's Zupa's wisconsin cauliflower soup, salad on a skewer, fresh rolls coming out of the oven, and sweet treats.
Life is sweet!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
