2014 Halloweeeeeeen!

Halloween 2014 was a blast!
Evil Queen having an evil laugh
She's too sweet to be too authentic
I love how her bestie Esme just raids the family costume box that morning and throws together what she can find.
Eli was real specific on his costume requirements. Luckily a trip to the DI filled them all.
Adren is the character from "Arrow", Oliver Queen. I found his jacket from DI, and was able to cut it up and sew some fabric to make it to his specifications, leather quiver and all!
All four of my babies at the school parade!

I was happy Zeke was giddy to wear one of Adren's costumes from years past. The problem is that this did not come in kid size so I had to alter it for Adren in 3rd grade, then chop off some more for little Zeke in kindergarten. I thought he looked mighty!
Since Halloween fell on a Friday this year we thought it would be fun to have the annual family Halloween party on the 31st~ trick-or-treating and all! It worked out great!
Jon decked out the garage for the kids and created a spooky play list.

So much excitement as the family arrived!
I'm the tooth fairy in pj's and a tool belt of coins.

The big arrivals!

Adren and friends ready to gather candy!

Full house!
Tooth fairy and unfortunate woodsman
After a dinner of soups and goodies it was time for trick-or-treating! Looking back at this moment, it would have been in our best interest to get a plan together as far as groups sticking with groups, a system to keep track of each other. After all, we're sending almost 30 kids out into a foreign neighborhood, in costume, in the dark!
(I think Shafer and Lindsey and family arrived a little later when the craziness hit, but I can still make out those Taylor boys in these pics!)

I couldn't help but think of all these babies grown up and one day looking back on this moment!

The weather cooperated beautifully. It was warm and dry~ and a sunset to remember!
At one point us sista's ventured out to watch the tail-end of the Thriller dance put on by my neighborhood in a cul-de-sac. We saw random kids from our group- no one could find each other, some were on their own. But amazingly, all returned and were accounted for.
Too much candy!

A Halloween to remember!
And here are the kids the next morning having breakfast:
