Momma's Birthday!

I remember when I was little asking my mom what she'd like for her birthday. I remember her saying something like~ "Oh, I don't need anything, I just like you all to be happy." I thought that was the strangest and saddest response I had ever heard. But now I say the same thing to my kids. I get it. They sure are excited to give me little handmade drawings and lots of love. Sweet things.
I'm not sure why it looks like they're all headed to the gas chamber here. Maybe I'm clueless and they really hate my birthday?
We took everyone to Rumbi Grill, a delightful place and a lot of fun because there was unlimited Crystal Light. I call this "Sparkle" at home and covet my little packets, so that is pretty much all they filled up on.
Later I took some time by myself and browsed the mall, dropped in on Sweet Tooth, and Jon took me out to a movie. A real good time for sure.
The night before my favorite ward gals took me out to the Chocolate. I tell you what, I was starting to have dreams at night of the Brooklyn Blackout cake, and it did not disappoint. If you are more of a dark-chocolate lover, it is the slice for you. I really love these ladies and always look forward to our get-together's. There is always enlightening conversation and a lot of laughter. I consider these ladies my nearest and dearest and it was so sweet of them to think of me. I always leave them determined to be a better person. What more could I ask for?

It was a really great birthday! My last year in my 30's! Whoa!

 Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on.
