Halloween!

As I picked the kids up from school a few days before Halloween I had the idea to run up to Gardner's Village to see all the Witches. There is such a fun vibe there through Halloween, and we found all the Witches on the list!

Halloween Day is so much fun! I was at the school helping in Eli's class party. I helped the kids get in costume for the Halloween Parade. Jon met up with us so we could see the kids parade by.
Zeke off to his Preschool party. Cutest and most excited Batman ever!
I really wanted to make Paisley a fancy Princess dress. I'm not sure if she'll want to dress up fancy in years to come, and just couldn't resist all the sparkly fabric at the store. She loved it and looked so darn cute I couldn't stand it!

Adren was real specific on his costume. It is a character from a game~? The costume online only came in adult size and was $75. I went off this online picture and was able to find everything I needed in my own closet and at D.I. Even a brown leather skirt to turn into a cape, belt and arm cuffs! Adren was thrilled with it, and wore it out before Hallween even arrived.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous on Halloween day. Eli was also very specific on his costume. He wanted to be a Grim Reaper, but wanted his face completely covered. I sewed a black shear fabric over a black hooded robe we had. With his scythe, he was set and looked great!
The Whitmore's and Grandparents Geertsen's arrived for a yummy Tortellini dinner, then off for Trick-or-Treating! Eeeeeeee!

Will and Jon escorted the clan. Jon in costume, of course.

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
