Spring Break!

Gateway
I was really looking forward to Spring Break. It's nice to have a break from the early mornings and homework, and I was really looking forward to doing some fun stuff at home. Monday we headed up to Gateway for the Children's Museum.
FYI: This is the ONLY day I took pictures of our outings.

The mini shopping carts were right up Zekes alley. He couldn't get enough of it.

Adren LOVES this grocery store and spent most of his time here. He got all the shelves stocked and organized, and then would rush to help a customer. He actually was all sweaty! He still talks about it. The worker was praising him up and down because at closing time that place was all put back.

Zeke and Paisley in the play house were adorable

Paisley bustled around, did the shopping and cleaning...

and still got dinner on the table.

This day was thoroughly enjoyable. Jon had to work all week so I knew I'd be on my own. Everyone's at fun ages down to little Zeke who is not so much a handful anymore. The thought of spending the day with all four, on my own is finally not so daunting- doable and enjoyable, in fact. We arrived about an hour after opening, walked to the food court for a lunch break, then went back until closing.
Tuesday we hit the Lehi pool. Again- the fact I did this on my own means I'm entering a whole new era. Paisley, Zeke and I went around and around that lazy river while the boys went bonkers. At one point I had to chase after Zeke up the water slide stairs. Turns out he really wanted to go down. It was pitch black and hard to keep upright with him on my lap! He didn't want to go again.
Wednesday we hit the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point and had a nice lunch after, sitting at the bar overlooking the gardens. Thursday Jon took the kids to get pictures taken for the Pass of All Passes and hit Trafalga. He said it was a madhouse and even the kids wanted to git. I told him that can be HIS thing.
By Friday the kids were itching to play with friends~ we had some late movie nights where we let them sleep downstairs- their favorite!
On Sunday night we were recounting the week and all of us were very satisfied on how the week went. I don't think I say this enough, but being a mother and spending time with my kids is truly lovely. I love each one of them so much for different reasons. Each one brings such a different personality to our outings and conversation. I love how the boys are growing up and getting older. They help me out so much- holding the door open and waiting for me while I walk slowly with Zeke, thanking me for the fun day etc. Paisley points out things for me to see and really appreciates little things. I'm grateful for these little people!
