I've been feeling a little sentimental lately. I feel like suddenly time is going so fast. My little boys, Adren especially seem to have grown so much lately, on the verge of turning 8, getting baptized, learning so many things I wish he wouldn't and would all at once. He comes to me saying he is bored, which is new. Before I could pull out the water colors or a book to read to him and he'd get all giddy. Not so much anymore. I want to pull him onto my lap and tell him stories and I want him to stay and stay. I recently pulled out a tub of warm clothes I'd packed away for Zeke this fall and winter and found sweaters and pants worn by his big brothers. They used to be so little! I remember feeling time was all the same, we could pile in the stroller or the car at any given time or day and visit the library, the park, drive up the canyon, it didn't matter. Now with school and homework etc. I can see why friends would say, "Just wait. Once they start school everything starts whipping by really fast." It's so true! I love it and hate it all at once. Having said that, I found some pictures that have reminded me of the slow, monotonous times that I'm just as glad are gone as I wish they'd linger a little longer.
Will sent me this. I remember this day at Kiwanis Park with the Whitmores. Adren kept running off, trying to catch the frisby some nearby teens were playing with. I remember how tiring it would be to take him to a park- or anywhere. He'd just bolt. He sure was a little cutie!
Dad came home for lunch one day and the kids vanished. The were so fascinated with his work truck!
Ahhh, the days when they'd dress in costume all day long. They still will, on occasion, but it is far less than it used to be.
They loved it! I love their faces!
I remember when sweet Paisley looked like this. I love those baby cheeks! Sooo sweet.
I'd have them eat almost every meal outside during the summer months. Less mess!
I remember we'd drop Adren off to preschool up in Orem, then come home and I'd put a show on for Eli and Paisley so I could jump in the shower. They loved to snuggle with their "gaga" and cozies together in the chair, I had to capture it.
See Paisley?
She wanted to bring her little Christmas shopping cart with us to the store. I remember her trying to lug it into the van.
How adorable is that???
