I suppose I am still in reminiscing mode, because I found some more pictures that make me go "Awwwwww". Like little Eli here taking a break during the long walk through Pumpkin Land.
And those curls!
Or the time we were at a family summer brunch and he looked so cute with his bright eyes and curls, running around.....
....and fell in the swamp/lake. He was brought to me looking like this, and I ordered him to be set down in this chair until someone could get me a towel to wrap him in and comfort him because I didn't want to get my white skirt and pink summer "brunch" shirt dirty.
Don't worry, he got plenty of lovin' and snuggles. Poor little guy, he's still hanging on to that watermelon rind.
Like I may have mentioned, Adren went through a phase where he had to have a "super-hero cape" tied around his neck at all times. In the beginning, he was plenty satisfied with a blanket.
This is before Eli got in on the action.
Then he realized he had actual Superman and Batman PJ's that were much more authentic than an ordinary blanket.
Those are dad's socks as "boots" and arm cuffs. Look at Eli proudly clapping for his impressive big brother.
I eventually made him some capes, which were worn everywhere.
He even got cousin Kate thinking super-hero costumes were the thing to do! My friend Jen supplied us with a bag of out-grown costumes that have been cherished and worn thin!
I love how he looks in these Spider-Man goggles. He'd wear these all day, no matter the burden.
It got to be so much more fun when little Eli got in on the action, and it turned out to be right up his alley as well. They sure have had good times in these costumes and it makes me happy when I see them take them out and still pull them on.
