MARCH!

Ah- the weather is slowly turning. Ever so slowly. But we are loving the some-what warm sunshine, so we will take all we can get!
I love to hear the sound of the basketball and see the boys finally able to enjoy the outdoors!

We still must bundle up for Paisley's Saturday tennis matches. I sat shivering while watching them squeegee the soaked courts.
It was fun running in to cousin Violet and watch her play a match or two!

I finally had to sit in the care with the heater until she was done!

Zeke some-what enjoyed a short season of tennis himself.
Paisley's doing real good with her life.

Sookie does not approve of anything that takes Paisley out of the house for even one second, however.
At least Eli's band concerts are inside. He's still playing the saxophone, but I can tell it is puttering out.

Eli is still as handsome as ever, doing great in 8th grade, has his circle of friends...
and doesn't tell me much!
What a cutie!
I am in my full routine of working! It has taken a little while, and I can't say it has been a smooth transition. It's hard to leave the house each day- I feel like I am leaving projects unfinished, and I have to jump right in to my chores after dropping Paisley and Zeke, then get ready to head out myself. Once done with work I run an errand or two since I'm out, and by the time I get home the kids arrive and need help with things and to be run here and there, then dinner and nighttime stuff and my day is gone! But I do really enjoy the ladies I work with, and I know just about all the kids names that come through the line. I once quizzed myself and picked a random table and was able to go around and name each child.
Don't we just fit the typical mold of "Lunch Ladies":  Melissa, Carmen, Annemarie, (me!) Fidelia, Tresha, and Leola. Happy St. Parick's Day!
Zeke looked especially festive on St. Pattys~

I keep taking pictures of the house as it is currently. I suppose I feel a change brewing...

Zeke is a real sweet baby angel~

We went to Provo High to watch one of Eli's basketball games and were delighted to see the Harry Potter themed Spirit Week. They really went all out!

Zeke had the big UTAH 4th Grade Program. I can sing along at this point. I loved his dance. And his outfit. And just seeing him up there with that sweet smile, what a cutie!

I made a delicious chocolate cake with chocolate icing from scratch one day. We were all wiping tears away while we ate it. (the secret is instant coffee in the batter. It gives a layer of richness that is divine.) Even Pedro said it was the best cake he had ever had. It was beautiful.

We have been saving for quite some time and I have spent a lot of thinking time on freshening up our kitchen and flooring. I will spare you the 50+ inspiration photos. But our cabinet guy suggested I post our cabinets online and sell them. Why not? I posted these pictures and within hours- and the next few months would get offer after offer. I was not expecting that! Sell your cabinets online! I promised them to a nice lady in Logan who was renovating an old home. She couldn't believe our cabinets were her exact layout and were an answer to her prayers. It took so long for us to finish getting bids and then finally removing them, but it all worked out perfectly with their timeline and I felt great with her taking them. Here's the pictures I posted on KSL and Craigslist:

Then I had to show her full disclosure of the roughest parts. She said she could work with all of it:

Next up around the corner: Zeke's 10th Birthday! He is NOT excited at all when we suggest he get new cabinets for his birthday. We are really having a hard time talking him into it.
