Paisley girl's big 11th!

Paisley was most anxious to get her eleventh birthday party planned! Eleven, people! We put together some darling teddy bear invites for a Teddy Bear Party!

I think I took every part of the party from Abby. She had just told me about Callie's teddy bear party and I think I included every single thing! Paisley is all about stuffed animals.
Have you seen her room?
She got a little kitty that looks just like Sookie. Awwwwww....

As girls arrived on the big day to the party they watched Paisley's favorite~ Studio C!
The first activity made me chuckle. As per Abby's example, the girls brought their stuffed animals around the table and put marshmallows on a skewer and toasted over a tealight. Those darn things did not stay lit and I didn't have the time or patience. I put Eli in charge and he was busy.
I served smoothies~ Paisley's favorite! I told the girls how Paisley doesn't just grab any old cup. She always gets the fanciest glasses and adds all sorts of decor and flourishes to her drink. So the girls were treated to Paisley's standards.
Next on Abby's agenda: Skits! I put random items in a bag and the girls had to come up with a skit. They had a blast doing this, of course!
Huddled in groups coming up with their skits.

The Performance!
Back inside for gift opening. I have to chuckle at Zeke, insisting on enormous Bongo as his stuffed animal to bring.
I had time to change out the tables for the craft. I had the girls turn dollar store socks into warm hats for their stuffed animals and decorate them. Sooooo cuuuuuuute.

That night we sang and enjoyed Paisley. She requested the fruit cheesecake, a family favorite. I love every single one of these shots of sweet Paisley girl!

Just a few days later we enjoyed Paisley at her 5th Grade Program, We the People.

Thanks for coming, Grandma and Grandpa G! They're even dressed appropriately.

A couple of her favorite gals.

I love sweet P at eleven! She has the most tender, kind heart. I love watching her creativity in all she does. She is still my little girl, but also getting older and it is a delight to watch. She is a precious soul through and through!
Paisley Elaine, eleven years old. You are so loved!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
