More February Lovin'

One really great thing about Zeke is that he likes to have fun, and he will not let you forget for one second to take him out for some fun. When you're the last born, you really have to insist on these things or they will pass you by. He was very concerned he would not get "good" sledding in before the snow melted. I knew I just had to take him, and Paisley was all for it. Rock Canyon Park is the best place around for sledding.

Another really great thing about Zeke is his sense of humor and creativity. There is not a day that goes by where he does not make me chuckle or where I'm able to resist smooching his face. Especially when it's covered in post-its with his Police Man uniform.
He'll sometimes do my hair and take pics to show me, just like Paisley~
And when I drop him to school he looks like a hobo carrying his entire world. He won't just wear his coat, or put his library book and other things in his backpack. It's all carried separate. Except for his lunch. That's been left on the back seat of the van.
Here he comes, making his way across the field to the car after school. When I spot him I say, Here comes Mr. Zeke.
Aw, I want to remember these days...
I came upon all my old jewelry boxes clear back from my teen years. So much jewelry! That's what I get working in retail all my years. Most of it carried a memory, so crazy! I went through it all and organized it to let my Laurels rummage through at an upcoming class activity at my house~ after Paisley chose her treasures, of course. (Much to my delight, they took about all of it, and I love seeing them wearing my pieces to church!) Zeke would not be left out, and rummaged through and found some treasures of his own. He wore these pieces proudly!
One week after Valentines Day is Jonny's birthday! Big 44 on the 21st! Whoot!
There's only one issue...
I kept this night really simple, (We're still recovering from last Wednesday) and assigned everything out to the girls and my Laurel President. We did a "movie" theme, served popcorn in cute mini popcorn buckets as our refreshments and watched the church video of the new theme for the year. We introduced all TEN of the incoming Beehives for 2018. (Including Paisley!!!) I have NINE graduating, class of '18! It's just always even~stevens. The girls I had speak breezed right on through, so the night was barely 40 min.! This was good, because I needed a quick clean up and get home to celebrate Jonny!

Hooray for our great Daddy, and for being a good sport. We LOVE you!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
