More summer shenanegans

This is a full summer, one thing after the other!
I may have mentioned the fish Paisley picked up at her Business Day at the end of the school year. Well, Zeke had to have one of his own. They kept them in separate bowls so they could tell them apart. This is really important, you know, we cannot get them mixed up! Well, one morning I came down to this:
Paisley's fish was just gone. No trace anywhere. Hmmmm.....
In other news, Sookie seems extra satisfied and smug these days...
The summer chores are in full force.
Zeke had his very first Pinewood Derby! His car did really well. He and Jon worked real hard on it the day before. He painted it his favorite color.

This boy is really the best little eight year old out there!
And this one the best twelve year old.
Eli was front and center for the Pinewood Derby, cheering Zeke along. Sweet bro!
Zeke comes out with me on my morning walks in his heelies, while I'm getting ready for Trek~ which is right around the corner...
Lazy Sunday, chatting with Eli.
We had our Camp Wrap-Up in the canyon. Dinner and skits, then pass the torch to the youngers. Our ward YCL's were so much fun this year!

Now camp is officially over.
And now Jon and I focus on Trek! We've been meeting with our family, making our flag, going over the packing list, getting all our gear together and breaking in our shoes. Meetings-meetings-meetings! It is right around the corner!
Most important, my lashes are ready :)
Too bad these boys can't come. They will have all sorts of fun with grandparents Geertsens and Taylors!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
