May activities

May was a wonderful, busy month with so much starting and other things coming to an end.
Jon took the kids up to the SLC cemetery to meet up with a few family members and visit the graves. They had lunch, visited and ran around. I appreciated him being willing to do that while I tried to kick a cold or whatever that was.
Later, on Memorial Day we were able to meet up at the traditional park with all the cousins for pic-nick and Grandpa birthday celebration and plenty of Frisbee and play time.

This was the first pack meeting in a while where it was just Eli participating in the Pinewood Derby. That car was purchased, cut, sanded, painted and raced all within 12 hours. It can be done, people!
Time for the mowing of the lawn to start up again. Jon got a new lawn mower that really has a mind of it's own- it's like a Roomba style lawn mower! ~ but he also kept the old slow one. The boys actually like mowing, and since it's the only chore they get paid for they usually are happy to do it. The friends will even help, not realizing they are doing a paid job.... and not getting paid.
Adren and Eli- both wanting the money, are willing to half it instead of just wait until the next week to get all of it.

Pal, Landon getting suckered in...
Jon and Adren were able to attend an overnight scout camp out and had a great time! I'm so glad that is right up Jon's alley. I don't think I'd send him otherwise.

That scout leader really is a jolly guy.

We were able to tour the Payson Temple during the open house. I got to go both with our family, and again with the youth. It is such a beautiful place! It has a different look, very detailed and ornate. It was so neat going through with my young women and answer their questions and point out the use of different rooms.
Our youth are great, this was an especially neat experience, one I told them they'd remember forever.

We were able to attend cutie pie Grahams special baptism day. Here are the 5 cousins that got baptized within the year together. Soooo sweet.

We celebrated a beautiful Mothers Day with family~

I feel so blessed to be these wonderful semi-little peoples mother. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful mother as an example to me, I pull from her example ALL the time. I also feel so blessed to have such a wonderful mother-in-law. I figure they can make up the areas where I lack.
I joined in a a fun gals weekend up in Park City with my ward gal pals. We stayed in a cozy, fab condo, shopped and shopped, had a delicious dinner and hours and hours of conversation and treats with the best women. A perfect recipe for a wonderful weekend.

We were able to travel out to Elko to attend Romney's farewell. This was such a fun little get-a-way, Jon and I went back and forth what to do. Should we ALL go and get a room? Should just I go with whatever kids want to and do it in one day? We decided we'd ALL go out, and get a hotel. The Boc's, Taylor's and CAsh stayed as well and we were able to get in some swimming, a dinner out, and lots o' visiting. It was fun to see the new Goulding fabulous house and be together. Really, that house has Sadie's stamp all over it and of course had me coming home wanting to start all kinds of projects. That Sadie knows what she's doing. Takeaway idea: If you question a space, put up a mirror! Romney gave such a great talk, I kept thinking she was so well prepared, she's prepared her whole life for this, and it shows. She's going to have some wonderful experiences in Russia, she's going to affect a lot of peoples lives, and bless her many companions.
Yekaterinburg, Russia! Love this great gal!

Shortly after this we were able to meet up in Provo for a farewell lunch and she was off to the MTC! Such mixed emotions, all so happy!

Zeke was able to attend (a bonus of afternoon kindy) and really surprised himself at how much he enjoyed his cheese quesadilla.

We were able to celebrate Matt's birthday while we were at it! Who doesn't want to wear a sombrero on their birthday??? (me, that's who) Abby had just had hers as well so they always get to celebrate together. Luckeeeee.
I texted this to Jon when he asked what we were up to. Fixin' to head out somewhere...
I really enjoyed my last month with just me and little Zeke at home for half the day. His mornings of leisure and ipad games are coming to an end.

And this cute boy! We ran to get his new scout book before scouts and we were in the car chatting about school and all the fun stuff coming up for Eli. I kept staring at him because he just looked so cute and happy and excited, and I wanted to remember that moment forever. Just the two of us, driving around, talking about all the stuff going on in his life.
For Zeke's last week of school he had to go early with the other kids and we got a glimpse of what next year will look like when Jon has to take all four in the morning. Not sure how that will work out, since we usually have pal Pedro along for a ride.

Here's a sign the school year is almost over. I can't close the accordion folder. Buthting.

And, finally, all my babies on the last day:
2014-2015 Grades completed: Adren 5th, Eli 4th, Paisley 2nd, Zeke Kindergarten. Way to go, Lakeview Lions!
It's been a really great year, lots of learning and habit forming and habit breaking and tears and health scares and late nights and consequences and activities and performances and break-through learning and prioritizing and juggling, but we made it! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some sleeping in and carefree evenings.
