Provo River Trail

Last spring the Provo River was so full we kept riding out to it just to look at it. The tunnels were flooded and it was running so fast! Such energy! This year we actually let the kids off their bikes and venture in.

There's a fun tree swing hung so high it's fun to make such a large sweep. There is also a rope you can swing out onto the water on.
I love living right by the Provo River trail. It is so beautiful in the early morning, heading east and watching the sun peek up over Y mountain. There is a lot of ducks, we always make sure to tuck some bread into the bike trailer.
We've really gotten some good use out of our bikes and trailer this year. The trail will take you almost anywhere. We first ventured to Macey's for an ice cream cone. Then a neighbor talked me into riding clear up Provo Canyon! I still can't believe we did that! We got caught in a downpour on the way home and were all drenched and freezing by the time we got home. A hot bubble bath and dinner was the perfect end to that day. Jon really loves to take his bike out and has also made it to the Provo Canyon. There is really nothing like an early morning bike ride along University Avenue. And the trail by our house is just gorgeous any time of day or year.
