We spent a Saturday hauling all the Christmas up from the crawl space and decorating the house. This is getting more and more crazy, since all of the kids want to "help"~ which mainly consists of all four of them pulling every item out of every Tupperware container, reminiscing, fondling and breaking everything. I'm almost tempted to pull it out at night when they're asleep and do it in peace, but I know they'd be disappointed. I wish I took a picture of the madness, by evening it really was everywhere. It was nice to be done and pack everything not being used this year back away and enjoy our hard work!
Do you recognize these teeth? They are from the abominable snowman from Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. (It's a sucker, ring-pop style)
Paisley and Zeke chose the "Rudolf" (I totally called that, by the way. Don't we know our kids!)
I gave them these one night as a prize for helping with night time chores and to get them even more excited for the season.
This is the first year we are trying our tree in the Family Room I like it, it's a little getting used to. Jon strung the lights, and Paisley (with a little help from Zeke) decorated that entire thing! She was so patient, pulling chairs and stools over, rummaging through the ornament boxes deciding what to do next. She's real proud about being the one who put on the star, thanks to daddy's help. I love to look at it, and see her fine work.
We're ready! (well, sort of)
