Christmas Train!

The Boci's invited us up to ride the Heber Valley Railroad~ which is transformed into the "Christmas Train"! Jon and I were remembering taking a very young Adren & Eli a couple of years, but they barely remember.
We had a little time to kill in the gift shop before hand, which is good and bad...
Those Christmas lists were growing by the second. All aboard!
Zeke taking it all in.
On the train it is very festive and warm. It's easy to feel the Christmas spirit when your so cozy!
We're ready to go!
Soooo excited! (I'd post the one of Adren and Grayson, but it's a face I'm trying to get Adren NOT to make anymore because it's so irritating.)

They put name tags on all of the kids, which was a nice touch, I thought. That way Santa called each of them by name, putting much awe on Paisley's face. They also passed around hot cocoa and cookies.

I like this one~ me and Abby were laughing and commenting the whole way.
It really was excited when we reached the North Pole and Santa hopped on. He went to each child and talked with them about what they wanted for Christmas and took a picture with them.
See little Callie peeking over?
I love the looks on their faces!
That Mallarie is a real ham.
Daaaarling!
It was a fun night, I'm glad we got to ride it. Zeke sure is into trains lately, as all the kids have been at two, so it was a special treat for him. Good times with the Bocie's!

The Exciting and Miscellaneous

Zeke got his learners!!! This was easy-peasy, first try. He is an excellent driver, though he says he does not feel super confident. Maybe it is because it is kid number four, but I have all the confidence in him. What a guy! We had a fun family gathering at Cash's house. Fun because ALL of the Boc's were there. They haven't all been together for years- like since before Grayson's mission. They all gathered for Matt and Abby's 30th anniversary! Sooo sweet. Look at this bunch! I love this average summer day in the Geertsen household. I am working in my bathroom. I will share my game plan directly... Jonny... P-Day phone calls with Adren are the best. He just gets whomever is around, sometimes it's just the Parentals. I took this screenshot of Cade, Ashley and Jon all on Mount Timp! Many in the family joined that day. This is the second summit on that mountain in a month for Jonny! Just a pretty screenshot from the doorbell cam.   Paisley has been asked to Prom b...

May Celebrations and Love!

Our little Paisley and all of her little friends are graduating from High School and all of us mothers cannot believe it! My dear friend and current Young Women's President, Elin, set up a beautiful evening for the girls and mothers to celebrate each one of them. It was lovely and touching and very special. These girls are the best! Despite the scaffolding that has been a staple for way too many weeks I care to count, I always appreciate our coming-to-life spring yard. Everything is filling in nicely. It is amazing how big our trees and bushes have become in hardly no time! But that scaffolding! You can't really tell, but it is quite the maze to get in the front door. The porch area may need to be removed just so that people can enter safely on the Homecoming Day.  My friend Kelly reminded our CRU when we replaced our faces onto her family portrait when she arrived home from living abroad for a time. We so funny! More windows being installed. Hooray! I snapped these as I headed...

Happy Anniversary to Jon & Lindsey!

Happy 25 Years to us! We spent the weekend at Snowbird at the lovely resort. It was all so pretty! Our room had such gorgeous views of the mountainside. I texted this pic to Adren of Pfeifferhorn, a mountain he summited with his dad once. I looked at that, marveling that my boy has been there! We took the tram up to the top of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views all around. One of the days it was nice to say, "The only thing on our schedule is a tram ride and dinner reservations". After so much hussle, it was nice to not have a whole lot to do. Chillin' with Jonny was really nice and good for us. It was a good reminder that we really enjoy each other. I mean, we knew that, but it is nice to spend a weekend together when you don't have a million other things going on. When we got back, I dived right back into our big event at work, our annual Give Hope Gala. This one was fun because Jon got to attend with me. It was a fun evening with him and my work friends. Off we ...
